Many problems can be solved by resorting to tricks and homemade devices. We offer 3 ideas that will be useful for the home craftsman or do-it-yourselfer. It really works, and it works great.

1. Soldering nozzle for plastic on a gas burner

If you need to solder the plastic, you can make the following tool. A piece of thread 5 cm long is cut from a stud or M10 bolt.

A small longitudinal cut is made at the end of the workpiece, into which a 40x40 mm steel plate is welded.

Its edge needs to be sharpened like a chisel.

A nut is screwed onto the second edge of the thread, and then it is welded into a piece of tube 5-7 cm long. The welding seam should completely plug the tube.

Finally, you need to drill the tube from the side at the second edge, cut a thread in the hole and screw a bolt into it.

As a result, we get a nozzle that is clamped onto a portable gas burner.

With such a hot spatula you can very quickly smooth out and solder damage on plastic.

2. Magnet for removing hardware from hard-to-reach places

It is necessary to take a heat-shrinkable tube 30-50 cm long, expand its edge, and insert a round magnet tablet into the resulting socket.

A flexible wire is inserted into the tube from the reverse side, after which the heat shrink heats up. It is necessary that it evenly compresses the magnet and the wire.

The resulting tool allows you to grab hardware that has fallen into hard-to-reach places. It will be very useful for auto mechanics, as well as those involved in repairs.

3. Gas burner repair

If the removable flange of your gas burner is broken or burnt out, you can replace it with a homemade one. To do this, you need to select a nut that can be screwed onto the burner thread instead. Then take a bolt or stud with the same thread. It needs to be drilled all the way through.

On one side the hole is countersunk.

Then you need to screw the stud or bolt onto the nut from the countersink side and connect it to the burner. As a result, you can fully repair a broken burner.
