Everyone wants to make the interior of their home original. A tabletop decorative fountain is one of the best solutions available to everyone. When purchasing a finished product, you may be faced with the problem of choosing the color, shape and design of a decorative fountain. An excellent solution would be to create an original interior element with your own hands.
So, how to make a tabletop decorative fountain?
First you need to decide on the location of its installation and the dimensions of the finished product; draw a sketch that will show the main parts and their dimensions.

Visit a number of hardware and electrical stores where you will need to buy a variety of different items, such as: a decorative plastic container, seashells, two tubes of white (white only) liquid nails, one tube of clear silicone (preferably for shower stalls), a porcelain or clay lock (with steps or grooves through which water will flow), a special low-power pump and decorative stones.
The first step is to try on the main components. After successfully observing the dimensions during the fitting process, we will proceed to assembly and gluing. You should rinse both containers well and degrease those parts on which the shells will be attached. Glue the shells slowly, moving along the entire circumference from top to bottom, starting from the top edge of the decorative container. It is necessary to completely fill the entire cavity of the shell with liquid nails, and only then attach it to the surface of the wall. To glue the inner walls of the container with shells, you need to use silicone. You can see the pattern for gluing shells in the photo.

After the glue has dried, it's time to install the pump, small container, and lock. A small container should have 3-4 holes on the sides for the passage of water and laying the power wire, as well as a hole for discreetly attaching a flexible transparent tube through which the flow of water will rise. The pump is located at the very bottom of the decorative container. The lock is tightly attached to a small container using silicone. The result of the work performed is shown in the photo.

We continue to cover the surface of the small container and other visible parts with shells and small stones. You should not waste extra time and silicone on gluing places whose visibility will be obscured by large stones. Don't forget to mask well and glue the transparent tube through which the water will flow. After completing all work using silicone and glue, let the product dry for 24 hours. After the glue has completely dried, it’s time to arrange all the stones and other decorations. Water should be filled with filtered or distilled water to prevent the formation of white layers of salt on the stones. After completing all the preparatory work, turn on the pump and rejoice at the appearance of a new original interior element in your home.
