A jet or rocket stove is superior in many respects to other types of solid fuel stoves and is quite competitive with them. It is beneficial to use it in a country house or in a small garden house. This oven is simple, energy efficient and low cost. It has a reactive flame output and does not require special supercharging in the form of a compressor or fan. Any adult can do it.

Will need

Materials:
  • steel pipe with a diameter of 22 cm and a length of 37 cm;
  • round metal rod;
  • pipe bend with thread and oblique cut;
  • steel cylindrical ring;
  • two steel circles with a diameter of about 20 mm;
  • square rod;

The process of making a jet furnace with your own hands

At the bottom of a vertically installed pipe 22x37 cm with an already welded bottom and portable handles on the sides, we cut a hole, insert a pipe fitting into it with the thread outward and an oblique cut inward and upward.

We weld the squeegee firmly, securely and hermetically to the pipe.

We cut 11 pieces of equal length from a round rod slightly shorter than the height of the pipe. We weld them evenly and vertically at one end to the outer generatrix of the steel cylindrical ring.

We put round ring ties on the rods welded to the ring, bent from the same round rod as the segments. We install them at approximately 1/3 and 2/3 from the base (bottom) and in this position weld them to the vertical rods.

We install the resulting structure centrally on the bottom of a 22x37 cm pipe and weld the rods to the bottom of the pipe.

We make a hole in the center of the vertical pipe cover with a core drill.

We lay round rods on two parallel and equal chords of a 22x37 cm pipe with exits from both sides at equal distances outside the pipe and cut two rods of the same length.

We bend two brackets from them and again lay them on the 22x37 cm pipe with the bends down and in this position weld them to the pipe cover.

We symmetrically weld two vertical posts to the horizontal sections of the brackets, and cross-sections-handles to them horizontally.

We screw a pass-through water tap onto the thread of the outlet and leave it in the open position.

We place wood fuel in the annular space between the body of the rocket stove and the lattice ring structure.

As kindling, we use a crumpled sheet of paper, which we set on fire and throw inside the lattice structure.At the same time, open the valve on the downstream side.

After the flame ignites, you can close the valve and close the lid on top of the oven. Such a heat source serves not only to heat the room, but also to prepare a variety of food.
