Have you tried brining lard or brisket yourself? It's quite simple! Besides, it’s also profitable! Not only will you save money, but you'll also get the brisket cooked to your liking.

Ingredients

To make the brisket delicious, you will need:

  • meat brisket - 1 kg,
  • garlic - 4 large cloves,
  • salt - 2 tbsp. spoons,
  • spices to taste.

Brisket brining process

If you bought a brisket with a bone, you need to cut it off.

The bone can then be used for soup or stewed with vegetables.

Cut the brisket into two or three parts.

Peel the garlic cloves and crush them through a press. Mix salt, ground pepper and other spices with garlic.

Coat each piece of brisket with garlic mixture on all sides and place in an enamel or glass bowl.

Press on top with a suitable saucer and cover the bowl with a towel.

Leave the brisket at room temperature for three days.

Every day, be sure to turn the pieces over in the resulting brine a couple of times.

After three days, remove the brisket from the brine and let the pieces dry.

Then wrap each piece in baking paper, put it in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer.

Remove from freezer immediately before use. The brisket is perfectly cut with a sharp knife into thin slices.

This brisket is delicious to eat with hot borscht.

And my whole family loves brisket chips. In a dry frying pan, fry thinly sliced brisket on all sides and sprinkle the resulting chips over boiled potatoes or porridge.

Try it, it's very tasty!
