Many commercial toilet cleaners have a strong smell of chlorine or other chemicals that are unpleasant and even unsafe to inhale. If you have allergies, or there are small children in the house, then such fumes are extremely undesirable. In this case, you can make your own homemade, more neutral cleaning product that can clean the toilet no worse than store-bought household chemicals.

What you will need:

  • Water;
  • corn starch;
  • lemon acid;
  • liquid soap.

Cleaning product preparation process

Take 500 ml of water into a saucepan and add 2 tbsp. corn starch. Stir and then put it all on the fire.

The base is cooked until it boils.

100 ml of cold water is taken into a separate container and 2 tbsp is added. citric acid. Then stir until the crystals are completely dissolved. After this, pour 10 ml of liquid soap into the acidic solution and mix a little.

When the starch base has cooled, you need to mix it with dissolved acid and soap.The result is an excellent, clean product.

If desired, you can add a little food coloring to it.

With it, it will be better to see how the composition is distributed throughout the toilet bowl. A couple drops of essential oil for scent will also help.

This gel can be poured into an empty bottle of commercial cleaning product.

This will make it easier to apply. Due to its thickness, the composition lingers on the walls of the toilet and the acid in combination with soap will effectively remove limescale and grease.
