A very unusual dish can be prepared from simple potatoes with the addition of some spices. Its appearance is very interesting, and it will appeal to most adults who love spicy foods.
The following ingredients will be required:
- potatoes – 700 gr.;
- onion – 1 pc.;
- garlic – 3 cloves;
- vegetable oil – 50 ml;
- butter – 20 gr.;
- soy sauce – 100 ml;
- corn starch - 4 tbsp. l.;
- apple cider vinegar – 2 tbsp. l.;
- chili flakes – 0.5 tsp;
- salt 0.5 tsp.
Cooking an original potato dish
Cut the potatoes into large pieces. Medium vegetable - about 4-6 parts. Place in a saucepan, add cold water, salt and boil for 20-25 minutes.
Press the finished potatoes with a masher, add starch and mix thoroughly. Next, you can knead the mass like dough using your hands.
Form small balls. Using a glass bottle with the neck, squeeze out a small hole.
Cut the onion into thin half rings. Garlic – in long thin slices. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil, add butter, melt.Add apple cider vinegar and soy sauce. Fry the garlic, then the onion. Sprinkle with chili flakes. They can be replaced with chili powder or cayenne pepper, in slightly smaller quantities. Mix everything and fry until the onion is half cooked.
Place the potato balls, pour over the resulting sauce and fry for a few minutes until golden brown. Turn over and cook on the other side.
