The main value of the proposed method of bearing lubrication is that the metal boot is not opened and its integrity is not compromised. We will fill the lubricant through the annular gap between the boot and the inner ring of the bearing, provided for by the design of the bearing assembly.
How to quickly and easily lubricate a bearing
We begin the lubrication process by tightly closing the mounting hole in the inner ring of the bearing so that no grease comes out through it, but it is possible to influence the grease to pack it into the bearing.
Place the required amount of lubricant, for example, Litol-24, in the middle of the unfolded plastic bag.
We place the bearing on top of the lubricant and wrap it around a plastic bag, tightly and tightly squeezing the polyethylene with your hand over the bearing.
Using tape or tape, tightly tighten the plastic film over the outer ring of the bearing. In this case, a plastic bag is formed at the bottom of the bearing, completely filled with new lubricant.
Then we lightly press the palm of our hand on this bag of lubricant and at the same time scroll the inner ring until grease appears from under the boot on the front side, which signals that the bearing is completely filled with lubricant, without the slightest disruption of the metal boot of the bearing.
We remove the grease from the outer sides of the bearing and use it for its intended purpose.
