Fan vibration is always caused by imbalance. If you return balance to its impeller, it will begin to work quietly and calmly again. This is not difficult to do, you just need to ship the blades.
What you will need:
- Marker;
- drill with a thin drill bit;
- self-tapping screw;
- screwdriver.
Fan balancing process
First you need to determine the heavy part of the impeller. If you shake the fan housing, it will turn down.
We put a mark on the bottom point of the impeller, and repeat the process to double-check that it will be at the bottom again.
Having found the heavy part, you need to accordingly add mass to the impeller on the opposite side. To do this, check it against the mark and screw a self-tapping screw into the hole.
Now shake the fan again. If the part with the screw turns out to be a visa, then the sinker was overdone. You need to tighten the screw closer to the axle, or grind it to make it easier.
When the mark appears below again, the self-tapping screw must be moved away from the axis. Our goal is to ensure that the impeller stops turning.
Once balance is achieved, the fan will stop vibrating. This is a very simple way to solve its excessive noise and instability.
