Sometimes there comes a time in the life of a flash drive when its casing begins to break. Unfortunately, this situation happened to me too. Everything would be fine, but the lack of a housing on a flash drive often leads to a shortened life or complete failure of the device. At first there was an option to wrap everything with tape or tape, but many flash drives heat up during operation, and the glue of these tapes is not heat-resistant. And suddenly the idea occurred to me not only to protect the device, but also to provide a creative look. So let's get started!

We will need:
* several LEGO bricks and plates for them
* candle or lighter for heating the tool
* matches
* knife (or medical scalpel)
* fine sandpaper on a block
* flash drive (preferably small)
* super glue based on cyanoacrylate (can be bought at a hardware store)
* remains of the previous building (if necessary)
* gloves (to protect against glue)

Materials

First you need to prepare a cube. If your flash drive is small, then you can use a 4X2 block; if it’s simple, then you’ll have to select another cube. Next, use a hot knife to make a neat hole for the USB connector.

Cutting a hole

It should be no larger and no smaller than the connector, otherwise the product will look ugly and the flash drive will dangle in the case.

Finished hole

Through the hole we cut out some of the insides of the LEGO block so that there is room inside for the flash. If possible, you can finish it with a file, but do not process the product together with a flash drive, because this threatens to break the entire device.

Afterwards, insert the flash drive into the cube and glue the plate into the bottom of the cube with a small amount of cyacrine to close the product.

Insert the flash drive into the new case

If the flash drive is flat and falls into the USB port, then you can glue a lining from parts of the old case.

That's all! The creative flash drive is ready!
