Today we will sew a simple case from old jeans and decorate it with bugle bead embroidery. The work is not difficult, but it requires perseverance. So let's get started!
We will need:
• old jeans
• scissors
• tailor's pins
• ruler
• chalk
• threads in the color of the fabric or close to it
• a piece of Velcro 1.5x1.5 cm
• bugles in two contrasting shades
• fine needle for embroidery
Progress:
Lay out the jeans, aligning the hem with the bottom. We put the phone down, stepping back a little from the outer line, as shown in the figure. Set aside 0.5 cm on each side of the phone and draw straight lines using a ruler and chalk. Then, stepping back another 0.5 cm from these lines, we draw parallel ones.
We chop off the double layer with pins in several places and cut along the outer lines.
Having removed the pins, from the inside we apply Velcro to the upper allowance exactly in the middle.
Using a machine we sew along the perimeter of the Velcro, overlapping each other at the end. If you don’t have a machine, you can carefully sew it on by hand.
Again we chop off two layers and sew them on the machine along the marked lines, making fastenings at the beginning and at the end of the line.
Lightly fluff out the seam allowances to create a fringe.
Now all that remains is to decorate the finished case. Draw any design with chalk - it can be a free line, zigzag, parallel lines or some kind of pattern.
For beginners in this business, the drawing should be chosen according to the principle: the simpler, the better.
We embroider the pattern backwards with a needle, as shown in the pictures.
Use a longer thread so you don't have to stop often.
