In this short article I will tell you how to make a simple chemical effect “Pharaoh's snake”.
For this we need the following ingredients:
-calcium gluconate
-dry flammable
There is no need to run to a chemical store, since everything can be obtained in ordinary household stores - calcium gluconate (in a pharmacy), and dry fuel (in tourist or fishing and hunting stores).
First of all, on the prepared surface (which can be an ordinary tin can), we put a tablet of dry fuel, and on top we place several tablets of calcium gluconate, now we set fire to the dry fuel and observe an interesting effect.
The reaction produces almost no smoke or foreign odor, but it is still better to conduct the experiment in a ventilated area. The reaction continues for quite a long time, depending on the number of calcium gluconate tablets.
