Tools and materials
First, let's talk about what tools and materials may be useful to us,
which ones can be replaced without losing the quality and beauty of the work performed, and which ones we simply cannot do without. Since we are making a postcard, we will definitely need paper. But what kind of paper it will be depends on your imagination and capabilities.
Ideally, you need to buy special paper for scrapbooking; in addition, for the figured cutting technique, one that is painted on different sides in different colors is better suited. however, you can use plain watercolor paper or bed paper. This paper has sufficient density to create a postcard, unlike a landscape sheet.Cardboard, on the other hand, is too thick. The thicker the sheet of paper, the more difficult it is to cut and the knife blade becomes dull much faster.
On the contrary, it is better to make a blank for a postcard on thin paper. You can draw it by hand, or print a ready-made version from the Internet on plain office paper.
A breadboard knife is the most convenient option for cutting, but you can use a simple stationery knife or even nail scissors.
Any glitter will do, both small and large. In addition, you can take small beads that nail technicians use (broths).
It is better to use PVA as a fixing composition for glitter, since after drying it becomes transparent.
Any brush for applying glue will do, but it should be thin enough to depict the intended design.
Decorative scissors can be used as desired to decorate the edge of the card.
Paper clips can be replaced with paper clips or a stapler. It all depends on what is more convenient for you, or what is available.
A wooden board is needed to protect the workplace from scratches. The plastic board is not so convenient. You can replace it with a special layout mat or an old thick magazine.
Stages of work
1. Draw a blank;
2. Attach the blank to the base of the card using clips;
3. Carefully cut out along the contour of the design;
4. Remove the cut parts;
5. We decorate the edge with curly scissors;
6. Using a brush, apply glue according to the intended pattern and immediately sprinkle with glitter.
