The idea for this easy and time-consuming fake was born when February 23 was just around the corner. My husband served in the missile forces, so my daughter and I decided to make a rocket. I will say right away that this work of art can be made by a child himself, starting from the age of 5. Younger kids can build a rocket with a little help from mom in 15 minutes.

rocket cylinder

For counterfeiting you need:
• Colored paper;
• Any glue;
• Toilet paper roll;
• Scissors.
My daughter told me to use a toilet paper roll for this job. This unique little thing saves a lot of time. If you don’t have a sleeve on hand, you’ll have to make one yourself from cardboard.
Let's get to work. First we need to cover the cylinder with paper. The color of the paper depends on your desire. I took an orange piece of paper and wrapped it around the sleeve, measuring the required height and width. I cut out a rectangle and pasted it over the blank.

rocket cone

glue it

Now we make a cone out of purple paper. To do this, you need to roll the sheet at an angle and glue it. Carefully trim off the excess paper.

portholes

Now it is necessary to connect the rocket base blank with the nose part.Before doing this, we cut the bottom edge of the cone along the perimeter so that when gluing, we bend the paper. We treat the upper part of the sleeve with glue and carefully, putting on the cone, glue it. At the same time, press the edges well. This is what should come out:

wings

Then my daughter and I cut out circles from purple paper and glued them onto the rocket. These are the “windows” of our space structure.
From small rectangles we made blanks for the “wings”, which serve as a support for the fake. After gluing them to the rocket, we cut them into triangles. This is how our fake acquired its natural appearance.
Now all that remains is to shorten the “nose” of our rocket a little. You just need to cut it and cover it with paper. That's all the work! It’s worth saying that my daughter and I spent no more than 15 minutes of our time.

rocket

When performing this craft, your child will strengthen their skills in handling scissors and glue, and also develop their imagination. This modest little thing, made by the hands of your baby, can melt the biggest heart.
