To create a money tree you need to prepare:
- a wooden board (or a piece of chipboard);
- decorative carnations (about 200 pieces);
- knitting threads (gray, green, brown);
- hammer, pliers;
- pencil, ruler;
- coins and superglue;
- wood stencil.
Step 1. First, you should determine the frame of the picture on the board using a pencil and ruler. It is better to step back from the edge about 5 mm and draw straight lines. It is necessary to make marks on the strips at a distance of 1 cm, then nails will be driven into them.
Step 2. Draw a tree with a trunk using a stencil.You can draw the branches, but it’s better to just convey the shape of the crown. Markings for nails should also be placed around the entire perimeter of the image.
Step 3. Now begin to gradually drive nails into the places where the dots were drawn with a pencil. It is better to hold them with pliers, this way you will not only protect your fingers from injury, but also drive the nails to the same depth.
Step 3. Next, proceed to forming the background of the picture. Take a gray thread, tie it to the outermost nail and begin to weave the heads of the nails with it. This can be done in a chaotic manner, the main condition is that all the nails are wrapped in thread (preferably two or three times). Once the entire space is filled, you need to tie the thread to the edge of the nail and cut it.
Step 4. Some masters already leave the picture in this version, where only the background is laid out with threads, and the image is not filled. But we can continue the picture. Green thread should be used to braid the carnations that form the crown, and brown thread should be used to braid the tree trunk. It is important not to forget to add borders to the images. To do this, you need to pass the thread in a snake between the nails along the edge of the pattern of the entire tree.
Step 5. Now all that remains is to glue the coins along the perimeter of the entire crown using superglue. Money of the same denomination looks more beautiful, but different ones are also possible.
