My daughter loves to listen to fairy tales. She absolutely loves the plots, characters and all the teachings and instructions that are hidden in the texts. My husband and I read them not only before bed, but also while playing, at dinner, and even in the bath. Based on the plot of the fairy tale, the little girl often drew illustrations, we sculpted the main characters from plasticine and clay, made a theater out of paper, and then played out some situations. But one day we took knitting threads and came up with real beauty. We have a beautiful frog that sits on a charming swamp and waits for its hero. The master class consists of two parts: a lake made of threads with flowers, plus a frog made of pompoms.

For work we will prepare the following materials:
- balloon;
- a tube of PVA glue;
- a plate for glue;
- scissors;
- a piece of cardboard;
- knitting threads (necessarily green and light green, plus all sorts of bright shades).

We will prepare the following materials for work:

First, we inflate the balloon and tie it so that it does not deflate. Take a plate and pour PVA glue into it. It should be diluted a little with water to make it more liquid. Cut the threads approximately 25 cm long. You will need a lot of such threads, it all depends on how big the ball is.

Take a plate

The threads must be immersed in a plate with glue and soaked well.

pour glue into it

We begin to glue one thread at a time onto the wide edge of the ball (opposite to the tail). You should try to alternate the threads by color and press each one tightly to the base.

Once the entire base is evenly filled, place the ball on a plastic bag and leave to dry overnight. It’s better to bring it closer to the battery, so the craft will set faster. In the morning the work continues. We choose bright colored threads (the more shades, the more interesting) and make small flowers.

Choose bright colored threads

You need to cut 7-9 threads (length 3-4 cm) and glue them in the shape of a spiral onto a drop of glue. Although you can give them a different shape. These are the small and cute flowers that come out.

All that's left to do is deflate the ball

All that remains is to deflate the ball (just cut off the tail) and carefully remove it. It turns out to be a beautiful shape in the form of a deep bowl or plate. You can pour candy or cookies there, so the blank will serve as a candy dish.

But we haven't made the frog yet. We take thick cardboard and cut out four blanks in the shape of a ring.

We take thick cardboard

We put the two smaller ones together and cut off the holes for the thread. We wind a dark green thread on one half, and a light green thread on the other. This will make a more fun pom-pom.

Winding the thread

We cut the threads between the blanks from the wide edge of the ring using a stationery knife. We tie them in the middle, straighten them and get a pompom.

From the large rings we make a second, larger pom-pom. Only for it you do not need to separate the threads, and the light green and dark green ones should be wound together around the entire perimeter of the ring.

tighten

Glue the pompoms together. The small one is the head, and the big one is the body of the frog.

Glue the pompoms

All that remains is to “revive” our little animal. Glue on the eyes, mouth, nose, make arms and a bow for the girl.

Glue the eyes

Place blue napkins (imitation water) or a piece of fabric in the swamp mold.

Populating our green toad

We populate our green toad and that’s it, the work is completed.
