The craze for cartoons of our children and grandchildren does not allow us to sit still and wait for the toy to appear in the store. I want to make my child happy as quickly as possible. To knit Krang you will need grass yarn and acrylic. I knitted this monster from yarn 380 m long per 100 g with crochet number 3.

Knitted monster Krang

First we knit the head. We start with an open loop, onto which we knit 6 single crochets, which we connect in a circle. Then we tighten the loop by the loosely dangling tail. Next, we knit circles in a spiral, each time evenly increasing the circle by 6 loops. Thus we knit 11 circles. We knit another 9 circles without increasing. On the 10th round, we first knit 28 chain stitches over the 28 stitches of the previous row. Then we finish the circle as usual, loop to loop. We knit the last row without increasing the number of loops. A large gap has formed into which we will knit the tentacles, closing every 4 loops in a circle (and 4 loops on the opposite row). That is, we knit the tentacles into 8 loops in a spiral, and at the end we tighten the thread. We should have 7 tentacles. Knit them in different ways, from 11 rows to 15.Curve some tentacles on purpose. That is, somewhere, knit 2 loops each three times in a row. And on the opposite side, skip these extra loops so that the thickness of the tubes remains the same.

This is what the head looks like from the inside out.

We knit the fabric with thicker threads, 100 g per 250 m, because the grass is also thick. We cast on 20 chain stitches and knit “4 rows with smooth thread and 2 rows with grass” 9 times.

In order not to make a mistake, we check the diameter of the head and the length of the blade - they must be equal. Otherwise, we unravel or tie.

We sew the fabric along the side and place the head there face to face.

We tie it with a crochet hook or just a thread, whichever is more convenient. We turn it inside out.

Now we cast on 18 loops on the open loop and knit three rows. They will completely cover the purchased eyes of the monster. At the top we glue the eyes to the first row and tighten the thread tightly, the end of which is hidden and cut off.

Sew on the eyes.

We knit a circle for the bottom. Its diameter should match the diameter of the body.

We stuff the doll with padding polyester or holofiber and sew on the bottom. We knit handles for three fingers. We start casting on the open loop and knit 12 loops. We knit 3 rows. In the 4th row we expand the fabric to 18 loops and knit 2 more rows. Then we knit the fingers, each with 6 loops in a spiral, 3 rows per finger.

We knit flipper legs very simply. We again cast on 6 loops on the open loop, close and knit another 12 rows in a spiral, adding 6 loops evenly in each row. We stuff it with padding polyester and close the halves folded in half.

Now we sew on the flippers so that the toy stands without a stand. You will need to make a small tightening to the center, and sew the legs slightly apart.

We sew the arms to the body on the sides closer to the head.

The monster turned out to be very kind and a little shy. His eyes close and open, and clap very funny. They can be sewn closer. The monster is very soft. The size was 22 cm in height and 31 cm in diameter. For the zest, add a few stitches of contrasting thread to the tips of the tentacles.

Well, isn't it lovely, isn't it? My granddaughter loved him very much, although the hero is negative.
