Nowadays, building a powerful amplifier with your own hands is not difficult. And all this thanks to modern element base.
Today we will talk about a simple amplifier based on the TDA7560 chip, which can easily be made by a person with virtually no knowledge of electronics.

The Philips TDA7560 chip is simply a godsend, especially for those who have not encountered it before. It has long been chosen by both beginning radio amateurs and car enthusiasts for its low supply voltage. The TDA7560 chip has a complete, but older analogue - the TDA7388, which is slightly less powerful.
Amplifier Specifications
Output power:
- At a 4 Ohm load the maximum is 4 x 50 Watt.
- At a 4 Ohm load the nominal is 4 x 45 Watt.
- At a load of 2 Ohms the maximum is 4 x 80 Watt.
- At a load of 2 Ohms the nominal is 4 x 75 Watt.
- Supply voltage from 8 to 18 Volts.

Amplifier circuit
The circuit diagram for connecting the microcircuit can always be viewed in datasheet. Everything is simple and obvious: there are four inputs on the left, four outputs for speaker systems on the right. Naturally, the inputs can be connected to each other, but not the outputs. Each output of the microcircuit must be loaded onto its own speaker system.
With this, I think, there will be no questions. The only thing worth explaining is the output of “ST-BY” and “MUTE”. “ST-BY” is a standby mode, usually it is immediately connected to the power supply plus and the amplifier is always active. "MUTE". - this is the muted mode, usually it is also connected to the power supply plus and the amplifier always becomes active. There are jumpers on the board for this purpose.

After soldering and assembling the amplifier, do not forget to install the microcircuit on a radiator, preferably a large one if you are a music lover who loves volume.
Amplifier Application
The microcircuit was originally developed for use as an audio power amplifier in car radios. Therefore, using this amplifier in a car is an excellent choice. But keep in mind that it is advisable to use thick power wires. It may also be necessary to significantly increase the capacity of the power filter capacitors.
The amplifier on a chip is also great for home use. You can power it from an old computer power supply, as I did in my time. And using a cooling radiator with a fan will significantly reduce its size.
