Slippers for a cash gift

When a baby is born into a family, it is an extraordinary joy for parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and other relatives and friends. The baby receives love and affection not only from his parents, but also from everyone around him. Parents try in advance to provide comfort and warmth in the children's room, which they prepare in advance for their baby. After all, the most important thing for a child after being discharged from the hospital is what? So that he feels in his new crib, as if in his mother’s tummy, so that he is warmed by her warmth. From childhood, he begins to understand everything and feel attention and affection. Of course, parents are the most beloved and the only close relatives who will always take care, warm and caress. The child is also receptive from birth to other close people: grandparents, sisters, brothers, godparents, aunts and uncles. Everyone showers the child with gifts and shares the joy with his parents. What does a child need from birth? Toys, clothes, vitamins, diapers, the list is quite long.So the very first thing everyone gives young parents for their baby is money. But the child will not have any memory left from the monetary gift. Agree, the child has grown up, but there is nothing to remember about childhood gifts. But you can somehow design the packaging or card in an original way so that it can be stored for a long time and the child, when he grows up, remembers you. Such an unusual packaging for money will be such slippers in the form of booties for a newborn girl from a series of postcards of an unusual shape. You can always put such slippers in a child’s room and you will admire them together with your baby. The girl will grow up and have something to remember!
We will have a master class on scrapbooking with the following materials and tools:
• Watercolor paper, landscape sheet;
• Pink paper for scrapbooking with a pattern, size 15*15 cm;
• Pattern of a slipper for a girl;
• Acrylic stamp “Happy Valentine’s Day” and green ink;
• Gold ink for tinting;
• Hot pink ribbon with white polka dots made of satin, 5 mm wide;
• Raspberry waxed cord;
• Pink die-cut butterfly;
• Small pink buttons;
• Several pink flowers and half beads;
• Metal pendant “Legs”;
• Banknote;
• Pencil, scissors, double-sided tape, lighter, ruler, PVA glue, glue gun.




First, we print out a template for a slipper like this. Let's cut it out. Now we apply these templates to a watercolor sheet and cut out the same bases of the slipper.




We wrap the teeth so that they do not interfere.




Now we apply these bases to scrap paper and cut out two more similar shapes only from scrap paper.




We glue the scrap paper figures with tape onto the watercolor figures.




Now we sew each part along the edge using a typewriter.




Now we glue both parts together with PVA glue, it will seem very difficult at first, but don’t be discouraged. The most important thing is to start from one edge and gradually press and dry to glue the entire slipper. It turns out to be a funny mini bootie.




We stamp an inscription on a piece of watercolor paper, cut out an even rectangle, tint it with gold ink, as if to give it a little antique effect. We glue the inscription on the back of the slipper with a glue gun, since there is a bend there so that the inscription will stick.




Now we tie a piece of cord into a bow, tie the gift note with a bright polka dot bow, and burn the edges of the bow with a lighter. We glue a waxed bow on the front and two small buttons below. On the side, where the slipper clasp should be, glue flowers and a pendant, and on top a butterfly with a bead. We put some money into the slippers and you're done. It turned out very unusual and original.
