Making a box.
From the outside of the reel, you need to remove all traces of tape, leaving only the cardboard base.
Stepping back 1.3 cm from the edge, you need to make a cut to obtain two parts of different sizes. It is important to ensure that the bobbin is cut smoothly and not crooked, so that the box turns out smooth and beautiful. The larger part will make a box, the second, small part will make a lid.
The lid on the box must hold tightly and not wobble, so you need to make a groove for it.From a piece of thick cardboard, cut out a rectangular piece with sides 23.5x5 cm.
A strip of cardboard must be connected into a ring and completely covered with brightly colored tape. Particular attention should be paid to the inside of the rounded part, since it will be located inside the box.
The prepared part should be generously smeared with polymer glue along its outer side, not reaching the top edge of 1.5 cm. After applying the glue, the workpiece should be folded into the frame of the future box, prepared from a reel of adhesive tape. The part covered with tape will protrude 1 cm, this is necessary for the lid of the box to close it tightly.
Now you need to make the bottom for the lid and the box. To do this, you need to prepare two large circles with a diameter of 8 cm from thick cardboard.
Each part must be covered on one side with bright tape, after having previously coated the surface with an even layer of glue.
Now two circles with a diameter of 11 cm should be cut out of green foamiran. The resulting circles should be glued to the blanks for the bottoms of the box. The cardboard parts should be placed with the side with the tapes facing up.
Then, along the protruding edges of the foamiran, it is necessary to create many cuts reaching the cardboard parts to ensure ease of further processing.
The inside of the frame for the lid of the box should be covered with satin ribbon using polymer glue. Then the blank for the lid needs to be glued to one of the bottoms, carefully smearing the edges of the cardboard circle with glue.
The frame of the box also needs to be attached to the prepared bottom, immediately making cuts on the free allowance of green suede.
Next, all the foamiran allowances must be glued to the sides of the box and its lid.You should bend it carefully, avoiding creases and creating sharp corners.
Now a strip measuring 4.5x24 cm should be cut out of foamiran. The resulting blank should be attached along the entire side of the box, having previously lubricated it with polymer glue. During attachment, it is important to ensure that there are no bubbles or voids under the material to avoid deformation of the fabric after the glue dries.
Then you will need a thin strip of foamiran to decorate the lid. Its dimensions should be 1.5x24 cm. It must be secured using polymer glue applied in an even layer along the outer side surface of the lid.
It turns out to be such a box, all that remains is to decorate it with prepared rhinestones, half beads and braid.
An openwork silver braid should be attached to the side of the lid. Its width should not exceed 2 cm so that it does not protrude too far beyond the edges of the lid.
From the same braid you need to make a strip along the bottom of the box to connect the composition with the lid.
Now you need to make a decoration for the lid of the box. As a base you will need a square of foamiran, no smaller than 4x4 cm in size.
Glue the cabochon in the center of the base.
A row of half beads should be attached around the cabochon, placing them tightly against each other.
In the second row, half beads should be attached to the spaces between the parts of the first circle.
Excess material must be cut off, leaving only the half-bead flower. The foamiran cut needs to be slightly scorched to give it a finished look.
This flower needs to be attached in the center of the lid.
All that remains is to add several rhinestones to the surface of the lid, forming them into a circle.
Now you should add the same rhinestones to the side of the box, attaching them at an equal distance.
It turns out this bright box made from simple materials and an empty spool of tape.
