We answer the question: it’s worth it! For different reasons. For example, suddenly we begin to experience an unexpected thirst for creativity (thoughts are racing feverishly, “our hands are itching”). In order to quench this thirst with minimal financial losses, it is enough to construct some useful household item, or even a completely useless beautiful trinket, from waste materials using available tools. Or: we urgently need some thing, we don’t have time (or, let’s say secretly, money) to go to the store, but this thing is easy to make ourselves from scrap materials. But perhaps the most important reason is the problem of raising children. Making useful homemade items by children under the guidance of adults is an excellent means of instilling hard work.
Now we understand that making a beautiful box from an egg carton is a serious matter, so without delay, let’s get down to business.
We prepare the necessary materials and tools:
– egg carton – 1 piece;
– toilet paper – 1 roll;
– PVA glue – 1 bottle;
– curly pasta of various shapes;
– acrylic paint (preferably aerosol).
We begin the manufacturing procedure.
Pour glue into a deep bowl. To keep it from being too thick, dilute it with water. Place a piece of crumpled toilet paper in the glue and let it soak well in the glue.
We cover the entire outer surface of our box with such pieces of paper. We make this toilet paper layer about 3 mm thick.
We decorate our future box with shaped pasta, pressing the pasta into the still wet paper mass (it’s also a good idea to add peas here and there). After this, we leave the box for a while: let it dry thoroughly.
We paint the dried box, giving full rein to our imagination. Immediately after the paint has dried, we take our unusual but beautiful box to show our family, friends and acquaintances. In such a unique box you can store beads, other jewelry and various small items, not to mention jewelry.
