What do children love most? Of course, play. Boys are like cars, and girls are like daughters and mothers. And, as you know, every dollhouse should have furniture, especially a soft sofa for a doll. So let’s start making a truly royal sofa ourselves. It will be decorated with beads and beautiful stones, gold braid. This piece of furniture will enliven the interior of any doll room. To work we will need the following:
- Soft foam or foam sponges.
- Faux leather.
- Decorative ribbon and braid.
- Beads – (13 pcs.), large pebble, square beads (2 pcs.).
- Wire, threads.
- Small buttons – (7 pcs.).
- Glue "Moment" or "Titan".

So, let's start by cutting out blanks from foam plastic for the future sofa. It is best to cut these materials using a utility knife. We will cut out only six parts: a seat, a stand for it, a backrest made of two parts, two armrests. The bottom stand will be the same size as the seat, but it will be moved back so that its back side will protrude from under the ottoman. We will cut out the back part of the back later.
The second stage is covering the soft pouf.To do this, we will cut out the required size blanks from artificial leather - two thin side strips and a central part.
Using a thin blue ribbon, tape off the edges of all the patterns.
Next, we glue the finished parts to the seat one by one. First the sides, and then the center.
We also cover the pallet with gold tape on three sides.
The side parts of the sofa, like the previous ones, will be covered with leather, with the entire part on the outside and only half on the inside. This is what comes out of it.
Now it’s time to decorate the pouf with beautiful beads. In my case these are blue round beads. Please note that on the back side of the pouf, when sewing on the beads, you need to place buttons so that the thread does not break through the foam rubber, since the thread will need to be pulled tight. After all, we want to get raised protrusions on the seat. We sew only five beads.
We cover the armrests with blue tape along the top, and then gold.
Sofa back
You can, of course, make the back of the sofa from one piece, it will be easier, but in our case it consists of two parts. It should be cut out this way.
Next, we begin to decorate the front part of the backrest. First we cover the bottom with leather, and then the top with white tape. Sew on two beads.
After that we paste the back part. Glue these two elements together.
Assembling the sofa
First, carefully glue the tray to the pouf, moving it back. After this, we glue the back to the seat.
Then we glue the armrests on both sides. The sofa for the doll is almost ready. All that remains is to decorate it with pebbles and beads. We glue beads and pieces of gold braid onto the side parts. Well, let's decorate the top of the sofa like a king. From a piece of leather, cut out the top for the back.
And in order to hide the ugly edges of the skin, glue it on four sides with gold braid.
Take two square beads, thread a wire through the holes, twist two curls and stick the free ends into the upper part of the back.
We will do the same with a large spherical pebble, which we will “plant” in the middle. The wire can be covered with gold acrylic paint.
If you have time and desire, the royal sofa for a doll can be supplemented with original pillows.
