Today I want to invite you to make toys from improvised materials. To make them you will need: elastic balloons of various sizes, preferably made of thick latex, thin markers, a funnel, flour, a pencil and various types of decorations.
This kind of fun can be made from starch and then your craft, in addition to its pretty appearance, will also have a “crunch.” You can experiment and replace flour and starch with beans or rice. The weight of this toy varies from 70 grams and above. It all depends on the size of the ball itself.
These crafts have many names, such as “Kinder - smiles”, “Koloboks”, “Fun from childhood”, “Kapitoshki”, “Hypocrites”, “Massagers”, “Faces with emotions” and the like. Its meaning lies in a latex ball, which is tightly filled with flour or starch and at the same time it can change its shape quite easily.
So, let's get to work:
1. Using a marker, draw emotional faces on the balls.
To be honest, this is not entirely practical, since the design is erased quite quickly, so it would be more rational to buy balloons already with images of funny faces.
2. Pour some flour into the funnel and compact it using a regular pencil.
Thus, we do it until the very end, until the ball is completely filled with flour. You need to fill it tightly enough so that there is absolutely no empty space left. Instead of a funnel, you can use paper rolled into a cone shape or a funnel made from the neck of a bottle, and a pencil can be replaced with a thin brush.
3. Remove the filled ball from the funnel and tie the tail with a strong knot. If desired, the elastic band can be cut with scissors.
4. From a thin and long ball, I made a snake in the same way.

5. Now let’s start decorating the capitoshkas. There are an incredible variety of options for decorating them, for example, using glue you can glue running eyes, a scarf, a veil, bows to a ball, or you can make hair out of threads and New Year’s rain and tie it to the knot of the toy. In this matter, the main thing is your imagination.
Make this toy with your child, believe me, the child will do it with great pleasure and excitement.
This fun for adults can serve as a toy for relieving stress (since it is pleasant to knead with your hands and has a calming effect), and for children, in addition to the positive emotions it evokes, the ball perfectly develops fine motor skills of the hands. However, in addition to the positive aspects, this toy has one big disadvantage. If suddenly a child accidentally bites through it or tears it, then the entire inside may crumble or end up in the baby’s mouth and lungs. After this, your child may cough for a long time and intermittently.Therefore, to protect yourself from such problems, supervise your child’s games or make such toys from the densest latex.
