Continue knitting a flat circle of the required diameter (smallest tier), in this case 16 cm.
After this, knit without increasing or decreasing another 10 cm.
Knit 1 more circle with a diameter of 16 cm.
Insert a pre-cut cardboard circle, fill the first part of the cake tier with padding polyester, distribute it evenly, place a second similar circle of cardboard on top, cover with a flat circle of yarn, connect the parts using single crochets.
The top tier is ready.
For a more interesting version of the cake, I suggest making a hole in it in order to put some kind of food into the cake. present.
In this case, the top tier of the cake will be removed. And the second and third are connected together.
The second tier must begin not from the middle of the circle, but from the hole.It is necessary to cast on a chain from the calculated number of loops (90 VP), continue knitting in a circle, adding 6 stitches in each row. Ultimately, the diameter of the circle should be 26 cm.
After this, as in the previous tier, knit the cake without changes to a height of 10 cm, then continue to add 6 stitches evenly. Each tier is 10 cm larger than the previous one.
In the middle you need to tie a pipe of such a diameter that the souvenir can fit in it.
For the pipe, you need to cast on a certain number of loops, close it in a ring and knit without changes with double crochets.
When the second and third tiers are ready, the pipe is attached inside, we begin assembling the cake.
Place a cardboard circle, fill the tier with padding polyester, then fill the second circle. The first tier is ready. Since two tiers are knitted together, it is immediately necessary to lay a circle of larger diameter (lower tier), then padding polyester, cardboard, and cover it with a flat knitted circle. Secure everything with double crochets.
The main part of the cake is ready.
Now we need to make decor.
For a knitted rose, you need to cast on 24 VP with red yarn, then knit arches from 3 VP, skipping 2 loops in a VP chain.
In the next row you need to knit double crochets: in the first arch - 3 dc, in the second, third and fourth - 4 dc, then 5 dc and 6 dc.
Roll up the rose, starting with a wide petal, and secure with thread and needle. Knit 40 roses.
Petals made of green yarn. Score 10 VP. Knit a half-stitch, sc, hdc, dc, ss2n and the same in reverse order, knit the same combination on the reverse side of the VP chain.
Sew roses to the cake, decorate the roses with petals.
