Outside the windows, the snow crunches from the footsteps of passers-by, snowflakes sparkle in the light of the lanterns, and everything is getting ready for the New Year. You are sitting in a cozy chair by the fireplace with a cup of coffee and making a list of gifts...
- Stop! What if I don’t have a fireplace?
- So do it yourself! We'll tell you how!
To make a false fireplace you will need: an aluminum profile, drywall, facing tiles, a wooden board, self-tapping screws, tile adhesive, wood stain and patience!
Stage one.
We determine the dimensions of the future fireplace (width, height, depth) and the internal screen. We determine the location (if you make lighting, focus on the sockets). We build the lower tier from the profile and attach it to the wall. Next, it’s better to immediately cover it with plasterboard, so as not to injure yourself on the corners (tested!). Now we are constructing a sectional profile structure, which will be the “skeleton” of the fireplace. Don't forget about the selected screen sizes!

Stage two.
We cover our structure with plasterboard on all sides, not forgetting the fireplace canopy. If you have a screwdriver, jigsaw and cutter on hand, it won't take much time.

Stage three.
We lay out tiles on the body of the false fireplace. You choose the material to your taste - there are a lot of options. We used facing tiles in this case, although initially we wanted to go with a simplified version with brick-like PVC panels. We “adjust” the tile and glue it using tile adhesive or tile mastic. The screen can also be anything you want, since the Internet offers many variations. Ours is made from the same decorative material as the entire fireplace. So, we cover the entire area, except for the top, where the tabletop will lie.

Stage four.
Choose a tabletop. We settled on a wooden panel, having previously treated it with stain. We fix the tabletop with self-tapping screws when everything is completely dry.

We decorate and decorate your new fireplace. Then we pour ourselves something tasty and sit down in the chair opposite to contemplate the result of our labors!
