We cut plastic wood drywall with regular paper

Hi all! Today I will show you how to make a cutting disc for an angle grinder (angle grinder) from ordinary A4 paper. With the help of which you can cut plastic, drywall, cheaply, so this master class will definitely come in handy on the farm. Thanks to the use of such a paper disk, the cut is very thin and even.

Making a paper disk

Take a couple of sheets of plain white office paper.

Place the sheets on top of each other and align them. Then cut in half with scissors.

Next, you will need a compass like this, with which you can cut even circles from paper.

He doesn't draw lines, but cuts straight away. Because instead of a pencil it has a blade.

In any case, you can take an ordinary compass, draw a circle and cut it out evenly with scissors.

Cut out three circles from paper with a diameter of 125 mm.

We take glue, such as “Pencil”, and glue all three disks together.

Someone will think: why couldn’t they just glue the paper together and then cut out the disk? Here's why:

The paper becomes wavy.
But this is not the case with disks. After they dry, move on to the next step - cut a hole in the center for the grinder.

Install and tighten the paper disc. Everything is the same as with a regular angle grinder disc.

We fire up the grinder and cut. For example, plastic:

PVC pipes:

The seam is even, the edges are smooth. You can't do this with a hacksaw or other disc.

Of course, such a paper disk is not durable, but it may well come in handy. It can also be mounted not only on a high-speed grinder, but also on a regular Dremel, drill, and even a screwdriver, clamping it with a bolt and nut.
When working even with a paper disk, be sure to take into account all safety precautions when working with power tools.

I remember back in the 50s in the magazine Youth Technology there was a note that if you give paper 10,000 revolutions, it will cut metal.

Why don’t paper discs burn during operation? The temperature is not too bad.

In my opinion this is not paper, but some kind of polymer

I'll have to check to see if it's a scam? The main feature of such disks is good cooling, and the paper has low thermal conductivity.
And so, yes, before, rails were sawed with copper discs.

By the way, about safety with such discs at 10,000 and 11,000 rpm, you can put your fingers and your head in a box.

What's stopping you from cutting out a disk right away from thin cardboard? For example, from a shoe box or paper folder.

Has anyone checked? fake not fake? why in the photo where the cutting process is taking place, especially drywall, are there no flying crumbs of material?, paper is a very easily soiled material, why, at least on metal, did it not darken on the cutting edge?
Has anyone checked? fake not fake?
Here, for example, “anyone” checked: The difference with a local roller is the number of layers of paper.
why in the photo where the cutting process is taking place, especially drywall, are there no flying crumbs of material?
From a disk of such small thickness and such high speed there should be not crumbs, but fine dust. Its trickle is below the sheet and is visible.

paper is a very easily soiled material, why didn’t it at least darken on the metal on the cutting edge?
There was no metal there. Pipes are made of soft plastic.
