Cutting vegetables into rings on an industrial scale, for example, when canning homemade preparations, is a routine and complex process. It is much easier and faster to chop them mechanically using a homemade slicer. Although it will take at least a day to make, this craft will last for many years, allowing you to cut buckets of vegetables at a time.

The vegetable feeding hopper is welded to the table crossbar. It is necessary that it comes almost close to the disk with the blades, but at the same time they do not touch. The hopper will be subject to shock loads, so it should be reinforced with additional support.

By throwing vegetables into the slicer and rotating it like a meat grinder, you can quickly chop into rings. The machine is suitable for cutting onions, garlic, potatoes, carrots, etc. When the knives become dull, you just need to change the blades. If you use only stainless steel during assembly, then the slicer does not require any complicated maintenance at all, except for washing.
