It turns out that it’s very easy to make a shaped knife for slicing any vegetables yourself. You only need two parts, which every master has anyway. With this device you can cut carrots, cucumbers, potatoes and other vegetables into a beautiful spiral. And then decorate your dishes as you please.
Will need
- A piece of PVC or polypropylene pipe does not matter, the main thing is that the internal diameter matches the size of your vegetables.
- Blade from a stationery knife.
Required tool: hot glue gun, utility knife, hacksaw.
Making a figured knife for vegetables
Stepping back one centimeter from the edge of the pipe, use a hacksaw to make a cut at a slight angle (about 10 degrees), to a depth slightly greater than half the diameter of the pipe.
