To implement your plan, you will need the simplest objects and products that can easily be found in drawers where all sorts of small trinkets have been stored for years:
- flat glass bottle with a volume of 200 (250) grams;
- a wooden rod with a transverse hole at some distance from one end;
- a bolt that fits freely into the hole of the rod and a nut;
- a ball that easily passes through the neck of the bottle.
Even a schoolchild can assemble this puzzle in a glass container with a narrow neck. It just requires some skill, patience and perseverance.
Puzzle making process
A wooden rod about 15 cm long should pass freely through the neck of the vessel. It is better to smooth the edges of the hole. This will make the assembly of the structure a little easier.
Place a ball, a bolt and a nut inside the bottle. We insert the wooden part into the neck of the container with the side where the transverse hole is located.
The task is to insert a bolt into the hole of a wooden rod, and on the other hand, screw a nut hardware onto it, and all this must be done inside a flat bottle without touching your hands.
The result can be achieved faster if the bolt is oriented with its thread towards the neck, and the hole in the wooden rod is positioned at an angle to it and closer to the point where the bulb transitions into the narrowing.
By moving the wooden piece back and forth, and rotating left and right at a small angle, you can “catch” the end of the hardware into the hole. After this, we turn the piece of wood 180 degrees so that the bolt “falls” into the hole and its head rests against the side surface of the piece of wood.
Let's try to screw the nut onto the thread, which is not at all easy. To do this, we orient the bolt shaft vertically in relation to the nut and somehow make 1-2 turns. After which things will become more fun.
The main stop for screwing the nut will be the ball during the oscillatory-rotational and then reciprocating movements of the wooden rod, which, accordingly, is converted into rotation of the nut around the bolt.
By tightening the nut all the way, we make sure that the assembled structure cannot be pulled out of the bottle. Let's now try to disassemble it also inside the container. To do this, we basically make angular turns with a wooden rod in one direction and the other, pressing the nut against the ball.
As a result, it will gradually come off the thread and fall into the bottle. Using simple movements of a wooden rod, remove the bolt from the hole. After this, we take out a piece of wood, a ball, a bolt and a nut from the bottle.
