To sell a gas stove for scrap with maximum profit, it needs to be disassembled. Inside it, in addition to ferrous metal, there is also aluminum and brass. When disassembled, the stove is much more compact, so it is easier to deliver it to the collection point in the trunk of a car.

The process of disassembling a gas stove
The stove consists almost entirely of metal, so after disassembly, only the adjustment knobs, heat-resistant glass and oven handle will go to waste.
The first step is to remove the baking sheets, wire rack and top panel. Behind it will be access to the aluminum burners; sometimes they can be pulled out without unscrewing the panel.
Gas tubes may also be aluminum. The burners are placed in non-ferrous metal, but you must first unscrew the brass jets.
Next, the front trim is removed. Since the screws and bolts are most likely rusty, it is easier to cut them off with a bolt cutter or saw them off with a grinder. Everything comes off very easily. The only difficulty will be disassembling the oven door.It consists of two halves, between which heat-resistant glass is laid.
After dismantling the top panel, you can disconnect the gas pipe. Behind it, brass taps are unscrewed. They have steel nuts that need to be unscrewed and folded onto the ferrous metal.
Next, the jumpers and panels are disconnected from the internal oven. You can simply beat them off with a hammer.
As a result, from a 2-burner Omga gas stove from the 70s, you can get 460 g. aluminum, 220 gr. brass and 28 kg. black metal.
