But you can not only buy New Year’s decorations, you can make them yourself, using your imagination and investing a piece of your soul.
For example, you can make your own Christmas decorations with a surprise from walnut shells. There is nothing complicated in making them, so you can involve children in the work. They will probably enjoy the process, and then it will be nice to admire these decorations hanging on the Christmas tree.
So, in addition to walnuts, we need the following for work:
- acrylic paints for decorative and applied works, preferably with glitter;
- brush;
- colored paper;
- scissors;
- universal glue;
- colored ribbons or braid.
First of all, open the nuts and clear them of their contents. After carefully painting the shell outside and inside with acrylic paints, leave it until completely dry. You can sprinkle glitter on top of the nuts.
While our blanks are drying, we print out congratulations on colored paper.It is better to choose universal wishes that are suitable for both men and women. We cut the paper with curly scissors, leaving one wish on each strip.
We fold the pieces of paper with congratulations and put them in the halves of nuts. You can also put candy or anything else of your choice inside.
By tying colored braid in knots, we get loops for our decorations. We coat the nut halves along the cut for gluing.
Carefully inserting a knot between the halves of the nut, leaving a loop outside, glue our nut together. We repeat this procedure until all the nuts are ready.
The decorations are ready and can be hung on the Christmas tree. When the New Year comes, all participants in the holiday must go to the Christmas tree, remove the nut they like, open it and read the wishes you have prepared. Your guests will surely be pleasantly surprised.
