Wing bolts are not available in every store, so they are often easier to make than to buy. If you have a heat gun, this will only take a couple of minutes.
What do you need:
- bolt;
- washer;
- spanner;
- heat gun.
Wing bolt manufacturing process
The essence of the process is to use a spanner as a formwork for hot melt adhesive into which the bolt is immersed. To do this, you need to place the key on a flat surface.
Melted hot-melt adhesive is poured into it almost to the top, then the bolt is immersed in the mass.
It is important that its head is significantly smaller than the size of the key.
The bolt is aligned and a washer is placed on it vertically. Its task is to compress and level the glue.
After 5-7 minutes the wing bolt is squeezed out of the key. In this case, you need to rest against its head.
Next, the glue beads on the removed lamb are cut off and the bolt is ready for use.
