Welding skills develop with experience. It is quite normal if, at first, when welding, thin-walled metal is burned through, the seams lie unevenly, and sloppy beads are obtained. To make welding acceptable the first time, you need to follow a few tips.

- electrodes 3 mm.
Welding metal with a 2 mm continuous seam
For welding profile pipes with a conventional inverter, it is better to use 3 mm electrodes. If the thickness of the metal walls is only 2 mm, then the current is set to 85A. The end of the welding electrode is placed at 45 degrees to the pipes being welded.
The arc is ignited, and after the electrode begins to melt, it is smoothly drawn towards itself. Having reached the end point of the seam, it comes off the surface.
Welding pipes with a wall of 1.5 mm with separation
For thin-walled pipes, a 3 mm electrode is also used, but the current on the welding machine is set to 75A. If you conduct an arc through such metal, it will overheat and burn through. In this case, you also need to start cooking from a distant point, holding the electrode at 45 degrees. After igniting the arc, it is pulled toward itself 10 mm and comes off for a second.
Then a touch is made at the tear site, and the seam is pulled another 10 mm.By interrupting in this way, it is possible to prevent overheating of the metal and burning. This method will help even on thinner-walled pipes.
