Many people have in their bins old, still functional, music centers designed for cassettes and CDs. Since musical media for them are outdated, they are practically no longer used. At the same time, you don’t want to throw away such equipment, since it has an excellent amplifier and speakers. An MP3 player module with bluetooth will help make your music center relevant again.

What you will need:

The process of finalizing the music center

Any music center that has a linear AUX input is suitable for conversion.

You need to disassemble its body and decide on the place where you can embed the module so that its front panel is on the outside. If at the same time internal equipment, such as cassette players or a disk drive, interferes, they can be turned off and dismantled as unnecessary. If you do this, then their panels need to be glued so that they do not open.

Next, on the center board you need to find contacts with a voltage of 5-18 V in order to power the module or mini car radio from them.

If the system has a disk drive, it is better to immediately connect to its power wires. An old mobile phone charger will also help you get out of the situation. You can put it in the center body, connect a module to it, and secretly solder it to the cores of the cord with a plug. If the power is supplied from the board, then you can find the contacts with a multimeter with the center plugged into the socket. It is only important not to confuse direct current with alternating current, so as not to permanently burn the module.

Next, you need to solder the linear output of the module to the linear input of the music center, and if everything works, then cut the panel into the case.

Everything is not as complicated as it might seem. Now the center will be able to play music from memory cards, receive signals from a smartphone via Bluetooth and pick up radio waves.
