Many people have several 100 or 200 liter barrels that sit idle. So that they do not waste useful space on the site, they can be put to good use. Here are 3 great ideas where they can come in handy.

1. Shelves for firewood

To make shelves, you need to cut the barrel into 3 equal parts.

Then, through the bottom and lid, the upper and lower ones are screwed tightly together to the wall of the barn or garage. A ring from the middle of the barrel is placed on top of them.

Next, firewood is stored in these shelves. If there are 2 or more barrels, then you can create more of these cells, which will look even better. Of course, this firewood is not enough to heat the stove, but if you need it in small quantities only for a barbecue or sauna, then this is an excellent alternative to building a woodshed.

2. Tool cabinet

You can also cut a large door on the side of the barrel and weld it onto the hinges. In order for everything to work out smoothly, it is better to weld the hinges before the door is completely cut out.

Then shelves are installed inside from any available material, it can be plywood, facades from the old furniture from laminated chipboard, etc.

If you make a latch on the door, then you can store valuable tools in such a cabinet, thereby protecting it from dust.

3. Manual bulldozer for snow removal

If you have a garden cart, its frame can be used for snow removal in winter. To do this, you just need to install a barrel blade on it. You just need to cut it in half lengthwise. The lid and bottom of this blank are removed.

Next, 2 profile pipes are welded to the frame of the cart without a body, to which half of the barrel is screwed.

This manual bulldozer allows you to very quickly remove snow from the site. In the summer, the blade is removed from the wheelbarrow, and it is used for its main purpose with a standard body.
