A dacha is a place where city residents take all the unnecessary trash from their apartments. However, upon closer examination, you understand that some things are made to last, and it’s a pity to throw them away. And, for the torn upholstery, we need to say “thank you” to our pets.

Today I will tell you how you can correct the situation and, as a result, get a “new” chair for your garden. The frame of the chair is metal, strong, not tattered.

What is needed for repair:

  • 1. A large scarf, preferably a thick one, that you no longer use.
  • 2. A piece of trouser leg cut from leggings. The material should stretch well.

I'm starting to decorate

I put the scarf on the seat of the chair, aligning the edges so that there are no distortions. Then I turn the chair over and tie the scarf at the edges diagonally. There are 2 knots in total, which are not visible unless you look under the chair. You can also tie knots from below without turning the chair over, but this method requires an assistant.

The seat was decorated and it turned out well, matching the original color of the chair. Now we need to turn our attention to the back of the chair, where the cats have also “worked”.

To decorate the back, I took old leggings and cut off the material from them at the widest part of the leg.

All that remains is to stretch the material over the back and fold or sew the cut edge on top. Make sure that the seams from the leggings end up on the sides of the back of the chair.

For information! If you have a large item that stretches well, you can decorate the chair in one color. In my case, the colors are different, but for a dacha this option is quite acceptable. And, most importantly, it’s free, and the chair was saved, and unnecessary things were added.
