Chickens, geese, ducks and other poultry need constant watering. If you simply use bowls or troughs as drinking bowls, you will have to top them up daily. Freeing yourself from these worries is very simple - you just need to spend half an hour and make a simple automatic drinker with a large tank to replenish it.
Materials:
- Plastic sewer pipe 75 mm;
- elbows 90 degrees 75 mm – 5 pcs.;
- tees 75 mm – 3 pcs.;
- fastenings for pipes 75 mm – 5 pcs.;
- plywood or furniture board;
- self-tapping screws;
- canister 20 liters or more;
- insert into the tank;

- hose.
The drinking bowl manufacturing process
From plywood or furniture board you need to cut out a base for a drinking bowl measuring 48x38 cm. Fastening clamps are screwed to it, as shown in the photo. You need to place 3 clips in a row under the edge, and behind them on the sides another one.
Next, you need to assemble a structure for watering birds from elbows and tees. Its side elements consist of tees with a connected pair of elbows. They are connected to each other through a third tee, the side exit of which is equipped with a fifth elbow.To connect the center with the outer elements, a simple piece of pipe is used on one side, and its socket on the other.
The assembled drinker is installed on a base with clips in which it is fixed.
Now you need to install the stand and canister on it. The latter should be located above the drinking bowl. In order for water to flow out of the canister, you need to install an insert with a tap in its wall.
The canister is filled with water. A hole is punched in its cover, and a piece of hose is tightly inserted into it. Its second end must be pressed with a tie or tied to a tap.
Now if you open the tap, the water from the canister will fill the drinking bowl. As soon as its level reaches the edge of the hose, the air suction will stop and the filling will stop. As soon as the birds drink water, its volume will immediately be automatically replenished.
