Often, plumbing breakdowns occur at the most unexpected and inopportune moment. However, if a crack has formed on the tap, you can solve the problem without much hassle, and with minimal losses to the budget.
As practice shows, a faucet repaired in this way can serve for quite a long time in an apartment, and then safely continue its career in the country. However, if new problems arise, this simple repair can be successfully repeated.

There are two ways to solve the problem. For the first you need:- adjustable wrench;

Repairing a crack on a faucet yourself
Due to impact or normal wear and tear, a small hole has formed in the crane jib.
We clean the surface with a file. We remove any remaining enamel and salt deposits. It is necessary not only to make the surface smooth, but also to create a volume for filling with solder or adhesive mass.
We clean the crack with an awl, a nail, or a sharp knife. Any tool that can remove unevenness and water deposits will do.
Using a soldering iron, apply rosin. We try to get it into the inside of the cracks that have formed. After this we solder the tin.
No matter how skilled you are, sometimes the surface will turn out uneven. Don't worry about this.
Again we take a file or sandpaper, and then grind it to perfect condition. The work could be finished here, but there is one problem. Typically, modern faucets are made of silumin. This is a relatively fragile and quite durable material. And there is no guarantee that the tin will set well. So let's try another option.
Option 2 to repair a crack on the faucet
First, we clean the crack in the same way using an awl and a file that we did for soldering. After this, take any degreaser. Alcohol, thinner, or even nail polish remover will do.
Using a napkin or cotton swab, degrease the crack.
Next we need regular superglue. It is not necessary to use a gel; you can use the simplest and cheapest one.
Apply a few drops of superglue and distribute it evenly using a toothpick or cut-off plastic cotton swab.
Take regular baking soda and sprinkle generously on the glue that has not yet hardened.
Within 10-15 minutes the resulting mass hardens. In terms of strength, it is not much inferior to cold welding.
All that remains for us is to take a file and sand the surface.
The crack is completely sealed and water no longer flows through it.
Knowing this simple method will save time and effort. Of course, the crane jib after such repairs has some cosmetic defects.But you no longer need to rush to the store to quickly solve the problem.
