It’s hard not to agree that some people are simply a treasure trove of brilliant solutions that not everyone can think of. We offer a selection of 5 ideas useful for working in the workshop. Most of them will definitely come in handy.

1. Automatic lubrication of drill bits of the drilling machine

For this modification, it is necessary to attach a bolt to the drilling machine casing.

A copper or brass tube with a hole drilled in the side for filling oil is attached to it.

The tube can be flattened for fastening.

The tube is bent, and a brush is installed on its end, removed from a round paint brush.

The pipe must be bent so that the pile touches the drill. Now pour oil into the tube through the hole at the top, we always keep the brush wet. It will slowly lubricate the drill, preventing it from overheating.

2. Knife for mineral wool

To cut mineral wool, you can make a very convenient knife from an unnecessary wood hacksaw. It must be shortened by making an arc-shaped cut.

The blade is then sharpened and can be used to cut mineral wool.

3. Dust removal for an angle grinder

To cut with a grinder without dust, you can make a dust extractor from a cardboard box. To do this, it is closed and glued at the joints with tape. A slot is made on it for the grinder disc. A hole is cut out on the side for the vacuum cleaner hose.

Now, when you connect the vacuum cleaner to the box, air will be sucked in through a narrow cut at the top. All that remains is to make cuts along it with a grinder so that the disk is partially in the box. All dust will eventually be sucked in.

4. Tape knife

Part of the blade from a hacksaw can be cut off to form a file with teeth. If you glue it with double-sided tape to the edge of the table, then it is very convenient to cut the tape on the protruding edge.

5. Roller for removing lint, dust particles, threads and pellets

To clear the surface of small debris, you can wrap tape around a paint roller with the adhesive side facing out.

After this, it is easy for them to collect spools, threads, lint and other small things that cannot be chickened out or erased.
