Profile pipes of different sections can be welded beautifully and neatly if you slightly trim the corners of the larger one. It's not difficult at all, you just need to make the right markings. Let's look at how to do this.

Required Tool:

  • Ruler;
  • marker;
  • Bulgarian;
  • hammer;
  • welding machine.

Welding process of square pipes of different sizes

First we measure the cross-section of the pipes. In this case, it is necessary to splice pipes 30x30 mm and 40x40 mm. On the larger one, you need to step back 40 mm from the edge (a distance equal to its width) and draw transverse lines around the circumference.

Then on the edge of the pipe on each side you need to apply marks, the distance between which is equal to the width of the smaller pipe, that is, 30 mm. At the same time, they should be at the same distance from the corners. Accordingly, marks are placed with a 5 mm indentation from the corners.

Next, on each side of the pipe we draw a line from the marks to the edges of the transverse lines.Then we cut along the jibs with a grinder, thereby removing the wedges.

After this, we knock the petals on the edge of the pipe with a hammer so that they come together.

As a result, the large pipe will have a cross section of 30 mm.

All that remains is to weld the seams and weld a thin pipe to it.

Now if we clean everything up, we will get a perfect connection.
