Every day we have to come up with clever ways to solve various problems, from fixing something broken to organizing a workplace. This collection includes worthwhile ideas that will help with this. Each life hack is very simple and does not take much time.

1. Tool for determining the center of discs, pipes and plugs

A mounting bracket is required to assemble this fixture. A rail is screwed to one of its inner sides with a 45-degree sawn end.

To use the tool, you need to attach the corner to the pipe, disk or plug. Then a line is drawn along the staff. Next, turn the tool a little and draw a mark again. At the intersection of the two lines there will be a center.

2. Restoring the screwdriver bit

If the figured bit of a screwdriver is licked, it is necessary to grind off or saw off its thinned tip. Then you need to sharpen the edges, respecting their factory angle.

After this, the bit will again be able to grip the screws.

3. The simplest system for supplying lubrication to drills

To prevent the drill from wearing out so quickly, it needs to be lubricated. This is very easy to do if you select a tube with a slightly larger diameter than the drill. She puts it on him. After the drill rests on the workpiece, oil is poured into the tube.

This way, when drilling, it will be in a cooling bath and will not overheat.

4. Lubrication of crowns

To prevent the crown from heating up, you need to drill a sponge with it. The foam stuck in it is moistened with oil.

Now, when drilling, it will gradually flow out, wetting the working edges.

5. Tool for distributing wood glue

If you need to spread wood glue on many pieces of wood, it is worth making this tool. To do this, take a stud and screw a pair of nuts onto it, between which two washers are located.

You need to adjust the nuts on the tool so that the workpiece fits between the washers. Now the glue applied to it can be evenly distributed by rolling the pin.

6. How to tighten a nut in a hard-to-reach place

If you need to hold a nut in a hard-to-reach place to screw a bolt into it, masking tape will help. Glue it onto the open-end wrench and put a nut in it. After this, it will not fall out of the tool, which will allow you to tighten the bolt.

7. Gluing workpieces with ends at 45 degrees without a clamp

When you need to glue two ends of blanks cut at 45 degrees to get a right angle, masking tape will help. We glue its segment onto the parts, arranging them tightly with the sharp corners of the ends. Then we apply glue and fold the parts, bending the tape. This way they won't come apart until the glue dries.

8. The simplest bottle cutter

Take a strip of sheet plastic and fold it in half. The resulting bracket is pierced with a mounting knife. The blade should be parallel to the curved edge.

As a result, we get a knife with a limiter, with which we can cut the bottle into strips. Their width depends on the gap between the bend and the blade.

9. Laminate device for quickly rolling out dough

To make such a device for the kitchen, you need to cut two identical disks with handles from the laminate, as in the photo. They need to be connected to each other with a door hinge. To ensure that the discs fit tightly, a sample is made under the loop.

Now if you put a piece of dough between the disks and fold the halves together, you will get a flatbread. The contact part of the instrument can be wrapped with stretch film to keep everything sterile.

10. The simplest way to store equipment for an engraver

You can store the equipment for the engraver simply by gluing a piece of foam rubber onto hot-melt adhesive in a convenient place. It's easy to insert attachments into it, and even easier to take them out.

11. Marking of power cables of tools

If you constantly confuse where the plug of this or that tool is, and periodically pull the wrong one out of the socket, then this advice is for you. Just take electrical tape and wrap it at the beginning of the cable behind the body of the tool and on the plug. On another device, use a different color of electrical tape or tape. This way you will know where the drill fork is, and where the grinders are, etc.

12. Protection of the cable from unwinding and corrosion

To prevent the hummock from unwinding, you can put a heat-shrinkable tube on it and shrink it. It will also protect it from corrosion. And the heat shrink is much more pleasant to touch than the cable.

Bonus: 13. Miter box made of bars

To evenly saw workpieces with a hacksaw, you can make a miter box from scraps of a block. We take 2 blanks, put them together and drill along the edges. After that, we tighten them with bolts, creating a gap between them with washers.

Now if you insert a hacksaw into the gap, it will move only in one plane. We clamp the miter box onto the part with a clamp and saw straight through the gap.
