In the process of cultivating any culture, various problems occur. One of them is pulling out seedlings. Seedlings can stretch immediately after the first sprout appears from the ground. What to do to prevent this from happening? There is a very simple way.
Required:
- 1 tsp 10% ammonia;
- 1 liter of water.
Preventing the shoots from stretching:
Initially, plant the seeds a short distance from each other. Peppers, tomatoes, and eggplants are usually planted according to the scheme: 2 by 4 cm.
The second point to consider is the daytime temperature. Ideally, it should be between 16 and 18 degrees. Coolness stimulates root growth and hardens seedlings.
After green leaves appear, move the plants to a room with a temperature of at least 20. If the crops were planted in February or March, then they additionally need to be illuminated with light lamps for up to 12 hours.
You can fertilize when 2-3 leaves appear from the soil. Fertilizer protects against pests and prevents stem elongation. Dilute one teaspoon of ammonia in water and stir.
Water the solution at the root, on moist soil.
