Bimetallic radiators are the most common for installation in houses and apartments. This is understandable: optimal cost, good heat dissipation, long service life, and most importantly, low weight. Below are 2 useful life hacks that can definitely be useful to owners of such batteries.

How to carefully bleed air from a radiator without flooding everything around it

Great idea for batteries that have a Mayevsky tap. You won't waste a single drop using this homemade device.

In a plastic bottle, closer to the neck, you need to make a hole the size of a wide cap.

On the opposite side you need to make a hole of a smaller diameter so that a screwdriver fits through it.

Use the large hole to put the bottle on the radiator drain valve, and use a screwdriver to unscrew the valve through the smaller hole.

Bleeding air from the battery will be quick and convenient.

How to wipe dust between battery sections

Wiping dust between sections is a real challenge given the width of the gap between them. But everything is much simpler than it might seem, and here’s another life hack.

You need to thread the wire through the kitchen sponge so that both ends come out on the opposite side.

These ends should be used to guide the sponge between the radiator sections.

It can be inserted at the top of the radiator and pulled down, while all the dust will remain on the wheelhouse.
