Useful tips or life hacks are always appreciated among any masters. After all, with their help you can do what is impossible with the standard approach. Life hacks make life much easier for everyone.

1. How to make a welding shield from a reversal of a PVC pipe on wooden planks

We cut a piece of PVC pipe along the generatrix and, using the flame of a gas burner, unfold it and turn it into a plate.

We place a welding filter on it and transfer the contour to the PVC plate. Inside the resulting contour we draw a similar one, but smaller, and cut it out with a grinder.

We lay wooden planks along the long sides of the PVC plate and fasten it with rivets.

We glue a light filter to the slot in the PVC plate.

2. How to make a wall holder and dispenser for a roll of plastic bags from PVC pipe

We cut an oblong slot on the side surface of a piece of PVC pipe. On the opposite side, opposite the slot, we drill two holes and fasten the product with screws or self-tapping screws to the wall.

Place a roll of plastic bags in it and push the beginning of the roll into the slot.We take out the required number of packages from the slot and tear them off by pulling them down.

3. How to seal a hole in a PVC pipe

Clean the edges of the hole with sandpaper. We cut off a ring from this or a similar diameter pipe, which would cover the hole with a margin of width. We cut the ring along the generatrix and cut a small strip from one end of the cut. We also clean the ring from the inside opposite the cut with sandpaper. Apply suitable glue along the outside contour of the hole and place the cut ring over the hole and press firmly. The pipe's tightness has been restored to 100%.

4. How to turn a spatula into a tool for spreading glue or silicone over a flat surface

From one side of the working part of the metal spatula we cut out a platform parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tool, but not completely. On the site we make several semicircular recesses at equal distances. Now with the changed side of the spatula you can evenly distribute glue, silicone and other similar substances over a flat surface.

5. How to make a tool for cleaning metal surfaces from aluminum foil

We cut a small fragment from a thick-walled plastic pipe and, periodically placing crumpled aluminum foil inside, seal it using a two-stage cylinder, the diameter of the lower part of which exactly matches the internal diameter of the pipe fragment. Place a washer of the same diameter on the surface of the compacted foil and repeat the compaction. Remove the washer and drill a hole in the center of the compacted foil with a drill.

Then we string the sealed foil rings onto the screw and tighten them with a nut through a small washer. We insert the screw rod into the drill and use the resulting tool to clean the metal surfaces.

6.How to make it easier to hook the end of the extension spring to the mount

It is not difficult to secure one side of the extension spring, but it is difficult to repeat the same thing on the other side with your bare hands. If you pass a cord or strong thread through the half-ring, then pulling it, the hook is very easy to achieve.

7. How to reliably and firmly connect wires without a soldering iron

We strip the stranded wires and insert the wires into each other.

Next we put on a copper or brass tube. We crimp using pliers.

Such a connection is difficult to break with your hands when checking for strength.

Then all that remains is to insulate the connection with heat shrink and that’s it.
