An order for the manufacture of metal jewelry, in particular baskets, can be placed externally, but this will be very expensive. But you really want the fence around your house or gate to be not only reliable, but also beautiful! If you try a little, you can make a metal basket with your own hands, and any physically strong adult can do this.

- 2 toothed gears of 15 teeth each with a central hole diameter of 25 mm;
- round pipe or rod with a diameter of 24.5 mm and a length of 33 cm;
- profile square pipe of two sizes;
- spray paint in two colors;
- steel rods with a diameter of 5 mm and a length of 22 cm;
- soft wire, etc.
Tools: drilling machine, welding machine, manual pipe bending machine, vice, grinder, 2 rubber rings, etc.
The process of making a metal decorative basket using a bending device
At one of the ends of two gears on a circle with a diameter of 32.6 mm we mark with a core and drill out 4 blind holes with a diameter of 5.25 mm at an equal distance from each other.
Insert a pipe with a diameter of 24.5 mm and a length of 33 cm into the central hole of one of the gears with a diameter of 25 mm from the side of the 4 drilled holes. Having made an overhang of 2-3 cm on the other side of the gear, we weld it to the pipe.
We weld a section of a larger standard square profile pipe across the pipe extension.
From a profile square pipe of a smaller standard size, we make a circle on a manual bending machine, cut and weld the ends and as a result we get a ring with a diameter of 29 cm.
Place the second gear in the center of the resulting ring with the drilled holes facing down. Between the ring and the gear, we radially lay 3 equal-length pieces of square pipe evenly around the circumference, i.e., at 120 degrees, and weld everything together. The result is a steering wheel consisting of an outer ring, three spokes and a gear in the middle.
We put the steering wheel gear with the drilled holes down on the pipe, having previously painted the device components in different colors in accordance with engineering ergonomics. The steering wheel should move freely along the pipe.
We clamp a section of profile pipe in a vice. We vertically insert steel rods with a diameter of 5 mm and a length of 22 cm between the gears into the holes and make 1 revolution with the steering wheel. As a result, the rods will bend around the pipe and receive a peculiar bend.
We collect six bent rods into a tight package and tighten the ends with rubber rings. Then we straighten the rods into the basket so that the distance between the rods in any cross section is the same. Then we weld the ends of the rods.
We put sections of profile square pipes onto the welded ends, which we also weld. We grind the welding points with a grinder.Next, starting from the pipes, we tightly wind the annealed wire onto the base of the basket to mask the welding site.
We paint the basket's components in the required colors, and it is ready for installation in the overall artistic design of a fence or gate.
