How to make an effective drunken float

We form the streamlined body of the float from a solid piece of foam using a drill, a self-tapping screw and sandpaper of different grain sizes. Using a round file, we adjust the central hole in the float to the diameter of the cocktail tube.

We shorten the ends of the lollipop sticks along the cutouts at the ends, and the cocktail tube along the base of the corrugation.

We insert the first into the second and cut it in half so that about 5 mm remains on each side of the inner tubes.

At the same time, the cocktail tube becomes more rigid, and due to the white color of the lollipop tubes, it becomes brighter, i.e., more noticeable on the water surface.

We make 3 small loops from stainless wire, 2 of which we connect and twist together, biting off the excess ends. We simply twist the third loop and also bite off the tails.

We connect the shortened lollipop tubes using a movable wire connection, lowering its legs into the tubes and pouring superglue into them.

We insert one of the Chupa Chups tubes into the section of the cocktail tube up to the wire connection and also strengthen this place with glue.We do the same on the other side. After drying, remove the glue from the outside with a knife. As a result, we get a moving connection.

We insert one piece of cocktail tube into the float and, so that it does not slide along it, “set” it on the glue. We insert a single wire loop into the free end of the tube and also strengthen it with glue.

All that remains is to attach the float to the fishing line, install the sinker and you can go fishing.
