Sadovaya furniture always relevant for those who have at least a small garden plot at their disposal. And it is not always advisable to buy ready-made models. Moreover, simple options can be made with your own hands. For example, a garden table made of picket fence.
To do this you will need a small set of tools and materials.

Materials:
1. Picket fence (sanded), the quantity varies depending on the size of the table;
2. Self-tapping screws or nails (depending on the tool used to carry out the work);
3. Stain and varnish of any color you like.
Tools you will need:
1. Saw (hand, electric, chainsaw - any at your discretion);
2. Hammer or screwdriver;
3. Pencil and tape measure.
Step 1
A garden table made of picket fence begins with the legs, on which the entire structure will be supported. Depending on the size of the table, two or more may be required. Fasten two picket fences together crosswise with nails or self-tapping screws. This is one table leg. The second and subsequent ones are done similarly.

Step 2
The top side (the place where the picket fence is attached) will need to be trimmed. To do this, use a pencil to draw a straight line for cutting.

How even the countertop will be depends on how smooth the surface is. Cut off the excess along the line. From below it is necessary to carry out a similar procedure so that the future table stands firmly on its legs.

Step 3
To the top side, already sawn, it is necessary to nail another picket fence, on which the material for the tabletop will be stuffed in the future.

It is advisable to use nails or self-tapping screws of short length so that they do not go right through the leg. Incorrectly selected nails can lead to early wear of the table or splitting of the wood fiber (cracks will appear, the structure will not be stable). The end result should be two (or more) identical designs.

Step 4
Now you need to make a tie between the legs to make the table stable and strong. To do this, place the legs vertically and nail another pair of picket fences between them on both sides (both top and bottom). Cut off the excess. The result should be a stable structure.

Step 5
It is necessary to put a picket fence on the top side of the finished structure, which will serve as a tabletop.

Advice: leave a small gap between the boards so that excess moisture does not linger on the surface. If this is not done, the absorbed moisture will destroy the wood and promote the development of fungus, which significantly reduces the life of the table. If the picket fence is chosen to be of different lengths, then it can be carefully cut down to level the tabletop.

To make the design more aesthetically pleasing, you can also add a picket fence around the perimeter of the tabletop.

Step 6
Treat the finished table with stain and varnish on all sides.This is necessary so that negative weather conditions do not have a significant impact on the wood, preserving its condition.
