Making a quick set: a table with two benches is easy. This will not take much time, everything can be assembled very simply in 1-2 hours and you can decorate your garden with a beautiful table at which you can dine and have picnics.
Preparing parts for the table base
All boards were purchased at the nearest hardware store. The boards for the table and benches have dimensions of 1700x120x28 mm, and for the legs and base - a larger thickness of 45 mm. All cut angles are 22 degrees.
We cut boards into parts according to the sketch. It’s good if you own a circular saw or jigsaw, but if not, then doing it manually is not so difficult.
Side assembly
To assemble the two bases you will need wood screws.
Assembly is best done on a horizontal surface. We assemble by fastening with self-tapping screws.
General assembly of a table with benches
For more convenient assembly, we nail two straight corners. It is not necessary to do this, but these actions will significantly simplify the assembly process itself and add rigidity to the entire structure.
We begin the assembly by installing this board with triangles. We screw it in turn to the two bases assembled earlier.
Then we equalize the distance between the platforms and fix them with side boards in place of the benches.
We continue on the sides of the table top and benches by screwing the boards.
There should be a small gap between the boards so that all distances are equal, use a feeler gauge. Instead, you can use any other object with the required distance and use it to measure and control.
Table with benches for the garden is ready
The final stage is to sand the sharp edges and burrs with sandpaper. It would also be a good idea to cover the table with paint or varnish, then it will last for many years.
If the structure is not entirely strong, then you can add two strips for each side diagonally. In my case this was not required.
Thanks to such a simple design of a table with benches, several of them can be made at once for a very large number of people.
