Today we will decorate a beautiful stand for a bottle of wine (or champagne). The product can also be used as a candy dish. You can purchase a blank (sled made of MDF) in specialized handicraft stores. You can also find similar handmade accessories on the Internet. So, in addition to the sled, we will need:

- 2 m of silver tape, width - 13 mm;
- acrylic pearlescent paint and a piece of sponge;
- 2 m of blue satin ribbon, width - 9 mm;
- blue rhinestones, diameter - 6 mm;
- 1 m of white lace, width - 2 cm;
- 10 pieces of “snowflake” sparkles, each diameter is 2 cm;
- 2 beautiful openwork beads, diameter - 1.5 cm;
- good transparent glue (Moment-Gel will do);
- 1 m of wide blue translucent tape, width - 7 cm.

The dimensions of the required materials are given conditionally; you can choose original ribbons and rhinestones if you want. The main thing is to show your imagination.

This is what the preparation of a stand for a bottle of wine (sled made of MDF) looks like:

The approximate length of the product is 30 cm, width is 12 cm, and height is 14 cm. First of all, we cover the sled with acrylic paint using a regular sponge. As soon as the first layer dries, immediately apply the second.This way the color will be more saturated. You can prime the workpiece before painting, but I decided to do without it.

Cut two strips of silver tape, approximately the length of the sled. It is best to apply the tape to the workpiece to determine the exact size of the cut. The ends of the strips can be slightly melted with a lighter, so they will look neater. Glue the ribbons to the workpiece, as in the photo.

Cut two strips of silver ribbon

Using the same method, we determine the length of the blue ribbon fragment. Glue this strip at the junction of two silver pieces.

Now we will attach the sparkles. Add a drop of glue and apply a snowflake. A drop of glue “peeks through” the hole in the snowflake.

We press the blue rhinestone on top.

In order to evenly glue the snowflakes, you first need to mark the places where they will be attached using a ruler. And we repeat this five times.

Now let's start creating a bow for our wine bottle stand. We cut two strips of the widest ribbon, about 20 cm each. They will make two bows that will be attached to the sides of the sled.

let's start creating the bow

Fold the fragment in half so that the ends of the tape meet in the middle. And we sew the stitch “forward with the needle”.

Folding the fragment

We tighten the seam. We should get a bow. We cut off about 18 cm of lace, stitch it with a “forward needle” seam along one edge and tighten it. Here's the result:

Tightening the seam

Now let's get back to the silver ribbon. We cut three fragments of 20 cm each. We fold each of them in half and fasten it with a needle and thread.

Cut three fragments

We sew all three fragments into a bow. We make similar decoration elements from two pieces of blue ribbon, 15 cm long, and then another 8 cm long.

We sew all three fragments together

The next stage is the final bow. We sew all the elements into a single beautiful decoration. We attach an openwork bead on top.

final bow

Glue the bow to the sled. Now we repeat all the steps from the beginning, only for the other side of the product. You can use the finished stand as a candy dish for storing sweet treats.

Stand decor

And here is an example of the direct use of a sled - as a stand for a bottle of wine (or champagne).
