For work, prepare the following components:
- a piece of thick cardboard (about 40 cm by 30 cm in size);
- scissors or stationery knife;
- double sided tape;
- PVA glue;
- red corrugated paper (or garnet-colored paper napkins);
- sweets in red wrapper;
- beautiful scarlet ribbons (1 m).
Since red is considered the main color of passion and love, the composition will be made in this color scheme. Therefore, try to select all the components for the job exactly as indicated in the list. First you need to draw a large heart, approximately 25x20 cm in size, on a sheet of white paper.If you don’t know how to draw, then find a suitable image on the Internet, print it on a printer, cut it out and the stencil is ready.
Using this stencil, you need to cut out two blanks of the same size from thick cardboard.
Using corrugated paper or tri-ball paper napkins, you need to create color and texture for the paper blanks. Hearts can be painted with watercolors or covered with colored paper, but this is trivial. It is more interesting to create a three-dimensional background. So, take PVA glue and spread it on top of the cardboard blank. Remember the napkin with your hands and press it to the surface. This way it will stick in some places, and in some places a hill will be created. This way you can get a beautiful heterogeneous texture. It’s okay if the edges of the workpiece are not filled, they will then disappear in the next step.
Next, apply double-sided tape along the edge of the entire heart. It is better to do this in parts so that it evenly covers the entire surface.
As soon as you remove the protective covering from the tape, start gluing the candies. You need to do this by the edge of the wrapper and as close to each other as possible. It is best to choose sweets in packaging such as in the photo. They are the right size and look beautiful. The longer the candy is, the higher and more voluminous the craft will be. Although, you also need to take into account the taste of your other half.
Now take the second blank and cover it in the same way around the entire perimeter of the edge with double-sided tape.
Holding it with your hands, place the second heart on the weight parallel to the first and glue the opposite end of the wrapper of each candy.
This is such a voluminous sweet heart. It looks not only original, but also appetizing.
All that remains is to decorate the souvenir beautifully. It will be enough to tie a scarlet ribbon around it and form a bow on top.
If you want, you can also glue candies on top and bottom using double-sided tape. This will make the gift more delicious.
