Summer landscape

Remember the bright days of August, when the earth is hot and as if alive. There is constant abundance all around in nature. These days, very few people work in the fields, and those farmers and agricultural workers who remain in the villages use more modern technology than any city dweller. But we all miss birdsong and fresh air, walks to the lake with a picnic.

Tools for painting the landscape "summer. road in a field":



1. Brushes of different sizes, 2-3 pcs. (preferably natural) dark gray and white acrylic is required;



2. Let's take acrylic paints: at least 12 colors or these wonderful shades.



3. Gray pencil (sharp and soft) and eraser (preferably elongated);
4. Cardboard (gray, which is suitable for the background while working in this greenish-yellow color scheme) or a wooden board that can be varnished when the work is ready;
5. The factory palette has a convenient shape; you can take a wide plastic lid or a wooden board. By diluting paints on the palette, it is easier to obtain the desired realistic shade. Following the steps in detail, drawing such a multi-component landscape is easy and simple.Aim the lighting at your workspace, but don't overdo it, otherwise the glare from the lights will distort the light of the colors, and there's a risk that the landscape will look too dark in natural daylight. Prepare a container of water for rinsing your brushes, napkins or a cloth for wiping your hands; a cotton swab can be useful for dry adjustments while painting a picture.



We start with a pencil sketch; if you have cardboard, press harder. Draw “two horizons” using a ruler or visual fitting - one in the foreground and the second at the farthest. The main details are the arcs of the road and the hill.

In the background there is a view of the reservoir and crimson clouds. You can paint them in more detail, since small details will be easier to repeat with a brush if there are contours with a pencil.



Now we proceed to the “colorful stage”, which will take much longer. We start with ocher and warm yellow shades.



A light haze predominates in the distant fields; we add white to the yellow paint.




We apply the paint in a thick layer; the tree in the upper right corner can be marked with ocher.




Now it’s time to mix gray and green, a thicker brush - 8.




The lighter greens are the grass and distant trees.



Now we pay attention to the details and take thin brushes.



The road is white, gray, lilac (red and blue). The sky, the pond - a lot of white and blue, a little yellow and red. We wait a day for the paint to dry, or you can dry it with a cold hairdryer. The last details: reflections in the river, brown tree trunks, colorful grass. Such landscapes love to be in a wooden frame.
